I know that  I love too easy

But  I can’t help but love this freely

Please don’t punish me

For my open feelings

I don’t want my love to be like a castle

I was never much one for doors and walls

I want my love to be as a field

Open and free and unrestrained

And  I know that means people

Will walk all over me

But that’s a price I'm willing to pay

After all, what is the cost of a love

Freely given, overflowing, boundless?

Know  I’m not a fool; that the lack of rules

For my heart will get me bruised

From the start;  I am not naive

I’m just honest

I don’t want to spend my life

Wasted with my heart in a closet

Because  I was too scared of being

Hurt

I’m ready for this

I’ve been ready for this
