I may not love myself

As much as you do

But trust me when I say

It’s inconsequential

When all that matters is

Making it to the next day

With friends

I may not be as brave

As you think I am

Cause god knows

I’m so scared

And I keep battling demons

In the dark

Where no one can see

I may not be as good

As you see me

Cause I know

That there is a part of me

That I run from that is

Dark and wild

And scary

I may not be who

You think I am

But please

Don’t leave me alone

No matter what poison drips

From my lips

Onto the floor
