Please Be Patient

Dear Future self please hold on

Please be humble

I will not fail you

I will strive to make you better

You will no longer feel pain

You will no longer feel hurt

Just hold on

I know you been through a lot

Given off constant doubt on where we will stand

Future self please just wait

I am in the process of healing all our pains

There is a brighter day at the end of the tunnel

So I beg of you just hold on

For a little while longer

Just be a little while stronger

There is a better day

Don’t worry I’ll carry the pain

The rain will only pour on me

I will hold that weight

But I will not pass it on to you

Please hold on future self
