Please Here Me, For All That I am
Kiss the stars, touch the sky
I close my eyes, blackening all
That surrounds me, silent,
No words, only the voices
Deep within my soul,
I can hear them, anger,
Sad, depressed, hurt
Masking my light,
And changing it to darkness,
Always beside me, taking my
Strength and giving me
Weakness, but there’s more
The beginning, the end,
Doors I’ve closed have opened,
A blank reflection, stares back at me,
Sensitive to all, please don’t scream
Don’t talk, just hear these words
A call to God, A cry for Help
In front of the mirror, I stand
Uncomfortable, with who I am
I was made from the hands of an artist,
But can’t see the truth to my beauty
They all, pointed, laughed, I questioned
Was I truly beautiful?
Please hear each thought, as it comes to life,
The power I had, I gave away
To the ones who craved my hurt, talked about me,
Crushed my heart, turned their backs,
Made me feel you were not there
Listen to me that is all I ask
Hear me out, for I am lost,
Confused, I stand in an unfamiliar place,
Asking why am I here? The trees are blocking
My view, take your hands
And open my eyes, I can’t see
My feet before the ground
I can no longer see who I am
Show me my worth, give me
Light and Help me to see
Me, whoever I am
I need to uncover the fossils,
The ones that are concealed
They are a reflection of me
Strengthen my courage,
Help me to tune out
All the things I can’t control
Help me to Let Go
Please hear me for all that I am,
Because I am not finished,
This is just the beginning
