Please Stand Up
Will the real Erin Suzanne Jackson please stand up?
The only one standing will be me
I stand straight wih my head up
My face will express glee
Everyone will turn to see this short girl with bright brown M&M eyes
Within her eyes they'll see that sh's eccentris, a hidden pincess, and gifted
They have read all about her, but meeting her is a true honor
As she speaks, their doubts about her are lifted
Will my family please stand up?
They are my support and motivation
They push me forward every day
With their encouragement I precede escalation
Will my true friends please stand up?
When I was down you lifted me up
You provided the advice I needed to hear
I wanted to give up on life because of my messes, but you stayed by my side to cleanup
Will my mentors please stand up?
You were once strangers to me for some time
Then I listened and learned from you
You helped me up on the mountain of succes that I continue to climb
Will my role models please stand up?
Whether you are famous or not I look up to you
I learned your stories and you inspire me
I want to be like you so every day I pursue
Will my haters please stand up?
Thank you for trying
You may have brought me down, but you also helped
You remind me to keep fighting so that I am soaring not flying
Will my dream please stand up?
You stand higher than me, but you will be reached
I will become a best-selling author
To the next generation I will teach.
