Please Stop

I know you led her on

And you’re doing the same to me

I know it’s not your fault

It’s just how you are

But please stop holding my hand

And looking at me with your green eyes

The eyes that could pierce the depths

of anyone’s soul

but I want mine to be the only soul you see

Stop touching me

with your hands so soft and fragile

There is a part of me that can’t take it anymore

but there is this part of my heart

that never wants you to stop

I want you to hold my hand all the days of my life

I want your eyes to look deep into mine

Because that is when I feel the most vulnerable

Yet so secure
