From pleasure to Pain
He used to tell me I was pretty, That my body was the best
He used to say that he admired my style, my passion, and my zest
You see, I never had anyone to care for me, To make sure that my voice was heard
So when he told me that he loved me,I believed his every word
In time I craved his attention,I needed to know that he was mine
So I ended up losing myself,Forgetting what’s inside
I gave him my everything,my innocence, the most priceless
I sold my self worth for a worthless man’s sweet caress
But, I guess I wasn’t all he needed, his everything and more
Because I watched the man of my dreams, the man I love, just walk out the door
I lost my pride and my peace, there was nothing left to seize
But there was one thing that he left me, he gave me the disease
Everybody just knew I had a bright future ahead, the world was mine to claim
How could 60 minutes of pleasure equal a lifetime of pain?
My life is a dark cloud now, No more sunshine, plenty of rain,
Now I'm sick, lonely ,and slowly going insane
Watching my life slip through the cracks, I have to ask again :
Oh How could 60 minutes of pleasure manifest into a lifetime of pain?!
