Plush Bird
I am a small bird
In the palms of your hand
You recite psalms to me
Of Saul and his land
Of David and his plan
And I must stay sheltered in the cusp of your arms
I am a bird of paradise
But I grew too fast
Your jelousy is grand
Gold, Emerald, and Sapphire flair
Burned to a crisp coal cloak
To hide the shame of which is my body
I am a soaring lovebird
Vision blinded in the clouds
So, I landed to wait for you
And I was plucked one by one
Till I could no longer fly
And you used the pedals of my wings to fly for yourself
I am roasting alive in my personal hell
Because I love you
And you silenced my song
The sheep in love with the shepherd
Who used me as the stone to kill goliath
And claim the kingdom for yourself
