Pocahontas' Truth

Just around the riverbend,

The British are coming to cause their end;

From measles to the common cold,

The truth isn’t as cute as the story once told;

Pocahontas young and free

Found a man aged 33;

John Smith and his band of theives

Destroyed her home full of singing trees;

The colors of the wind have thinned...

Her land was stolen and people enslaved,

Far from the movie where her people were saved;

We were led to believe that her life was a dream,

But it was all an evil scheme...
