Poem 1

Is it even possible that I’ll be ok?

Hoping and wondering every single day

What am I to hope for?

When I’m nowhere near the girl I was before

I’m fighting for someone I don’t even know

Which makes this possibility so far afloat

Trying to figure out who I am from down here

Stuck in this world of misery and fear

The task ahead seems impossible to me but people keep saying

“Keep fighting you’ll see!”

So for now here I stay, trapped in the dark

Wondering if I’ll ever really be ok...
