Poem 1
She stabs my heart, and leaves it to die;
She’s left me down, made my want to cry;
My esteem was low, but then the shining chance;
Then she changed her mind, don’t even want to dance;
I scream for her, every day and night;
But she continues on, putting up a fight;
She deflects my arrows, like an iron-clad shield;
And now I’ve got no ammo, she broke all I wield;
You’re just a Pretty Young Thing, but you’re full of trouble;
Make a spark in the pan, turn into boilin’ bubble;
You have a crappy home life, but make it more than it is;
All you want is attention, you’re in the misery biz;
You want all the attention, playing your misery worse;
Saying you want to end now, and leave this world in a hearse;
You say guys never care, but don’t consider me;
You want someone to love you, and tend all your needs;
So I offered to you, but you turned me down;
Tho I’d even top your head, with a golden crown;
You are the queen of my heart, but broken is thy kingdom;
My heart a caged bird, searching for it’s freedom;
They say the caged bird sing, but my heart it screams;
Overfilled with love, bursting at the seams;
I’m missing you, every day and night;
To protect your soul, and hold you close and tight;
