Loving someone who loves someone else

is like a poision being injected into you

turning your veins blue

inside and out

cold, like your lovers heart

left on the floor of a convient store bathroom

stepped on, and over a hundred times

collecting dust and dirty looks

loving someone who loves someone else

is like watching a broken clock

for twelve hours a day

prior to you changing destinstion

lowering expectation

craving conversation

fearing observation

because when you see your lover

touching someone else

a taste materializes under your tongue

that you only hope they taste too

hoping the theive of hearts makes your lover cringe

and heave

leave

and find you

bump shoulders in a way

that could only result in falling in love

stuck in a chinese finger trap

and you both only keep pulling

because the lover that you love so much, that you hate

is like a stained glass window

that you want to throw a window threw

roll up and smoke love

empty bottles of desperation

someone told me love was touching souls

and surely you've touched mine

because part of you

pours out me

in these lines

from time to time

and I am as constant as the northern star

constantly in the darkness

My advice:

Go with him, stay with him if you can,

but be prepard to bleed

because it has been him

far before you recognized it

before your friends told you how cute you'd be together

before the day you met

this is the relationship your friends had but you couldn't uderstand

the question you skipped on a test

and now you are ready to turn the multiple choice into a open ended
