Poem 4

the sun,

bright and ever lasting

growing dimmer and growing brighter.

like him.

a sun to light up a darkness.

his eyes bright and everlasting, like the sun

dipped down from space

sent some heavenly magic

and bewitched him.

his eyes, showing you the truth

hiding behind no lies

eyes not like mine.

the clouds,

fluffy and brilliant.

like sugar cubes for the

blue skies liking.

his smile, a sugar cube for my liking.

coming to me in my darkest hours

and pouring the sugar over the bitter

producing a bitter sweet love

love,

where two worlds collide at no ends,

and,

forever envelops itself in farther

deeper

like the black hole of life.

yet.

you are daring to jump through

willing even.

two worlds grasp hands and jump

at the same time

nothing but smiles

because you know you shall be caught

caught in the warm arms of love,

the black hole

yet the warmest inviting thing

us,

humans,

lovers,

have to live for.

Hey I'm Emily. The brilliant Edgar Poe inspired me to become a writer. I've been writing since I could hold a pencil. I yearn to become an author, attend college for creative writing, and make a difference. My dream is to open a place for young adults to learn to love themselves. It just takes one person to start a revolution.
