Poem 4

You have no idea

what you do to me.

You have no idea

how much I want to flee.

I want to stay by your side,

through everything.

I love you,

but it’s not up to me.

You love me in a way

that I can’t return.

I feel bad for it,

so my heart must burn.

My head starts spinning

whenever I’m around you.

I feel guilty

because I’m not with you.

You’re a huge part of my life,

one I don’t want to lose.

Maybe things would be different

if I were in different shoes.

But still, I don’t know

how to act or how to feel,

or how to respond,

or how to deal.

Forgive me for what I’m about to do.

And believe me it has nothing to do with you.
