A poem
A poem,
What is a poem?
Its not more or less than,
Silent music.
Words arranged
In malleable silent rhythm.
I knew none about assonance,
But I knew well not to write nonsense.
Every body connects to what makes sense.
I may have verses without consonance,
But I pack sense in every sentence.
Delivering phrases making sense
Making excellence my essence.
With so much benevolence
And less ambivalence.
Re-arranging
Deranged
Minds.
A poem
Ever thought?
Poems make our anthems.
Filled with rhythms.
Read it silently.
It sounds differently
It makes much more sense.
Listen! The sounds they convey.
Some showing the way,
Some leading astray.
Its the beat.
Dance to it but
Don't lose your feet.
Poetry is music.
Poetry is.
Poetry.
Poems.
Are made of,
Of words dancing,
Dancing on paper,
Birthed by ink,
Through minds
That think.
It can make you sink,
Sink In the ocean of thoughts
It can make you think,
Think of the forgotten past
It can make you drink.
Drink the cup of knowledge
It can make you see,
See the future in prophecy.
The blinks of the eyes are the gaps between words.
The inks of the pens are the doors to distant worlds.
The thinks of the minds are the shades of light
Given bodies by the wise writers.
Words are keys when played right they can be danced to.
Words are keys when said right they unlock realities.
Words are what makes a poem. poems make
Believe, believing creates possibilities
Possibilities weaken difficulties
Poetry taught me this.
I never felt alone
With a papyrus and a pen.
I simply let my mind open.
My fingers translate.
As I contemplate
Like a poet.
Love pen and paper
These two are good listeners
And great recorders.
Thoughts scattered haphazardly
Are clustered melodically
In union forged by
the young sages.
Never under estimate
The power of a poem.
Poetry is my totem
Never undermine
The power of a poet.
They shape our thinking.
Always mess with poetry.
Its better than drugs.
Can get you hugs.
Love poetry.
Your poetry.
What has rhythm and subtle sounds?
