how dumb are we

as boys

to put so much power

into a penis,

to say that it can make women

out of girls?

and why do we

as boys

tear down girls

in every possible way conceivable

when we know deep down

that she can break our ego

by looking at our naked selves

and uttering a single "ha"?

 

i guess it's true what they say

about overcompensations:

we play with phallic symbols

to make us look bigger than

we really are.

 

but know this:

 

even skyscrapers fall

in the face of our creator,

and the great tower of babel

would never have never reached

the gates of heaven.

so when we come to see

where paradise flows forth,

and end where life begins,

be humbled,

for we are truly nothing.
