A poem about existence.

I talk like this now

notice how my words

take up

less

space?

considerate

never a bother

so

small.

I become dust

in sunlight

so I shine

in the shadows.

My identity?

Only softly echos.

Then, someone told me,

my existence shouldn't be a

soft question,

some sorrowful apology

I am an answer!

Now I talk like this!

Let my humanity SCREAM, "I AM NOT SMALL."

My words move mountains, flow ocean movements!

Let this space I take up, carry through the air

like an aura you can't ignore.

I may still

seem small.

But, with my posture...

I STAND UP TALLER I PROMISE YOU THAT.

I am not a

shadow!

I AM THE SUN.

I am not a question.

I am not an apology.

I am not a mistake.

I am a person.

I can talk like this now.

This poem is about:
Me
