A Poem about Poetry

When one writes they lose themselves

This mystical power of poetry wowed me

Anger, Sadness Happiness, al fell onto the page with such fierceness

My inner being exposed

Naked to my peers

To be poked and prodded

Yet I write

With my future in mind and the past a smiling ghost who haunts me

Because in the moment I learned about Poetry I found something special

And it has kept me as a lover since
