Poem about School

Morning Meeting was such an oddly hysterical place. The room was like a comedic show, everyone turned as red as a chili pepper from all the laugher over jokes which are meant to be obvious. Math club announcements. No one predicts such a smart senior with enormous potential to deem himself an idiot. Have I not forgotten a Godzilla sized kid walks up to the mic? Once again, he’s lost his wallet for about the hundredth time this year. Leaving everyone wondering how many more times he could lose it and announce it before the end of the year. I could see a good 8 more despite the senior’s absence in a couple of days. That’s not even the best of it. When I hear lion king music come across the loud speakers and Zeke in a Unicorn costume, I couldn’t add up what was happening. I used my order of operations but I was still struggling to figure it out. Then Taso in a jaguar costume and Jakaysha in a frog costume. I haven’t discussed the head of our upper school. When you have a cool upper school head, like I do to hit the running man in front of everyone at morning meeting, I begin to wonder do we really go to a real school. Dr. Terwin is one of the greatest guys I know. He manages to connect with all our students, dance with them, and ball on them at basketball open gyms in the fall …. Yoshi…. Without skipping a beat. I mean I’m sorry Yoshi but Dr. Terwin has a clean jumper and there’s just nothing you can do about that. Skill like that must be taught a young age. But, besides all that hype and fun that we have as a unit, our school also recognizes global issues and supports them with everything we have. From the video recorded by Jack, Anika, and Brad to send to Majory Stoneman Douglas High School, the walk during break that Henry organized to show our support to the implication of gun control and probably one of the most impactful fundraisers you could ever see in Macey and Christina’s wish week. With every joke we laugh about at morning meeting, there is an issue that we can stand on together. I attended The Columbus Academy for nine years.  They have frozen yogurt, a smoothie machine, and even a pasta bar. But, I was missing something at that school and when I came here I realized… With every joke we laugh about at morning meeting, there is an issue that we can stand on together. The cheerleaders said it right during basketball season.  We have spirit. That is the Wellington Spirit. I think I can agree with you now, I love my school. Go Jags!
