A Poem About You

One day when I become a poet I'm gonna write you A poem about you And I will put some pretty words in it Evincing the beauty you try so hard to enshroud I'm gonna write about your eensy-weensy feet And your slender coffee arms And how they used to be flabby And your eyes like obsidian Engrafted in pearls Eyes that are always smiling Belying the pain behind them Gleaming despite the tears that cascade unseen Eyes so beautiful And I'm gonna write about your legs And your big frizzy hair That I haven't seen in awhile And how you wear it like a crown Over that beautiful, twisted mind And I'm gonna write about the amazing strength of your neck And how it holds a head so gargantuan On that day when I Become a poet And write you A poem about you.
