Poem Brown

the colors I see in my dreams

warm browns and oranges, gentle colors

they feel like the nineties, they feel like muffled blues music playing late at night

how can I explain why I like a color scheme?

it reminds me of my dad and his old basses and guitars

and the old run-down carpet stores and quiet music shops I've visited in my dreams

it brings a warm feeling not to mind but to my heart, to my soul

it reminds me of distant memories I can't remember

but they feel like home, like home, like a lost childhood in the clouds of my mind

filled with those warm oranges and browns
