Poem: end of the day

Another day is done

And the night is closing in,

Another day we've overcome

Just another day my friend.

We put our shoulders to the plow

And made the best of the day,

How we did it by the grace of God that's how

In every given way.

It's not just another working day

But a day of worth living,

Even up to the time we make the pay

After the taxman he's  not giving

Back nothing but a hard time.

Another day is done

And the night is closing in

Another day we've overcome

Just another day my friend,

Just another day.....
