A Poem for Ethan

Location

Do you, do you have a halo today

Your day, your day was silence throughout

A coffin painted black

The home dressed with flowers

The rain, the rain pours around your grave

Sweet light, sweet light glistens against the stone

Tears water the soft grass

Gentle cries beset your shrine

Oh why, oh why have you done this to us

We do, we do miss each thing of you

The unspeakable word

The name of the boy

Ethan, Ethan, you left far too soon

You were, you were much too young

That gun hit its target

That bullet kissed just right

You are gone
