A Poem Full of Nothing

I am not black

I am not white

I am not the freckled face dreamer who sits up high up above the clouds

nor am I the strong passionate protector who stands on their ground

I am not a bold statement

I am not a question longing to be answered

I am not the flashy article leading you on with cheap hooks and gimmicks

nor am I the nonprofit group helping those in need

I am not the day

I am not the night

I am nothing

There are No words

No deep rooted English class metaphors

No Webster Dictionary definition

that could define me

and

I am okay with that

I'm okay with being

nothing
