A Poem to Grandma

A second,

    A minute,

       An hour,

          A day,

A great deal of years,

  And still;

    A second,

       A minute,

          An hour,

             A day,

And in these years,

   A person like you is hard to come by,

   Although, I know you watch over me,

      Above in the clouds,

Always,

       I miss you grandma,

And I’ll never forget the many memories we made in the short time we had together,

   All the times I took care of you,

   And all the times Nanny and I pushed you around in your wheelchair,

   All that time, I was only a girl,

  And still, I remember it like it was yesterday;

As your life ended with the memories of me, my life began with the memories of you.
