The Poem of Life
This feels like a game
And I'm destined to fail
But I still keep playing
Because winning isn't my aim
I don't need a trophy
Nor a scream of victory
Because I lack what I truly need
A struggle that I voluntarily bleed
I don't refer to a manual
To know the rules of success
A book can never tell me
The path I need to follow
Success is like a blank page
We decide what we fill in
At times we wistfully overflow
We can start a new page
But instead we procrastinate
Knowing more isn't being an expert
Experience is the primary kick start
Life is not an evaluation
Of what one makes of it
It's a chance to ambition
What you possess within
Life is more of a journey
Our path is what we foresee
Don't count the numbers
Of all the things gone awry
Don't count the days
It's dead and gone so why worry
Life wouldn't be a life
If it weren't meant to be sturdy
Some things are better left undone
Or else you'll be the one sorry
Live your life the way you want
It's too short to be slave for all
Don't be afraid of what might come
The light will show you your path
And if you get lost along the way
The dazzle in your eyes will not betray
It will be one less of a mistake
That you chose to make
