A poem for my first love
Light brown eyes, there you were
With the biggest smile and the biggest lips, there you were
When I needed you, there you were
At home, I was alone, my father and mother were too busy for me, but there you were
I had grow used to your presence and body
I had grown used to having someone by my side, because there you were
But things don't last forever
I wish I Had not invested so much in you
You, the boy with the sweetest smile, had grown used to me
I did not surprise you, I did not excite you, I did not amuse you anymore
Little by little, you weren't there
When my father verbally abused me, you weren't there
When my mother insulted everything I did, you weren't there
You werent there and it was okay after a while
I had grow used to being without you
I had grown used to falling asleep, feeling like i had no one
I had grown used to the idea that i will never be enough
You weren't there to stop those thoughts, you weren't there to fight for me, and you weren't there to love me.
