A Poem of Poetry

Poetry.

The one type of writing

where you can't be judged on plot, characters, dialog

because they don't exist.

Only the poet and her pen.

No one can tell you how to feel,

What to do.

You just place a pen down and begin.

That's all.

Feelings are described.

Thoughts articulated.

But don't overthink,

it will only make it worse.

Just feel the words flow through your body

and let the ink do all the work.
