Poem Song

Last night I saw you in a neon dream

all lit up in a throw back scene

the streets were wet in reflective haze

where the truth is shadowed

by the fire's blaze.

The heart it sings and then the heart it pains

something lost is something gained

a kaleidoscope of mystery

all wrapped up in you and me.

But, I would pay big dollars now

just to know you're dancing, somewhere, somehow

another night in a neon dream

things aren't always what they seem.

I have been writing poetry for over forty years, Published in magazines, ezines, etc. I currently live in New Jersey as I recover from stage four throat cancer. I have not been able to speak for three years so my voice has become my poetry, photography, and guitar.
