The Poem Song
The motion of the ocean is captivated here
Reminding us all that there is nothing to fear
For what does fear have against the power of words
Words that can make one's heart flutter like a songbird's
I know not why the poem songs sting
Or how they make a our heart and souls sing
But if there is one thing I know to be true
There is no way better to express how much I love you
It carries our voices across its pages
Expressing our thoughts from across the ages
Sometimes it's best to read between its lines
It connects us all like grapes to their vines
I know not why the poem songs sting
Or how they make a our heart and souls sing
But if there is one thing I know to be true
There is no way better to express how much I love you
There's no denying its power is timeless
Its passion and flame escapes our souls crimeless
In this life that we call hell, putrid hatred we dispell
And the poems catch our cries and as they sing "all is well"
I know not why the poem songs sting
Or how they make a our heart and souls sing
But if there is one thing I know to be true
There is no way better to express how much I love you
