Poem: There is no room&
Poem: There is no room
There is no room that seeks emptiness
That does not await every hourly passing
That does not stiffen in the brittle cold of the night
That does not mourn when physical presence has been removed
For a room, is only a room when there is warmth
When there is love and light
The kind that breaks through shadows of foreboding
That destroys the fear at noonday, a little child harbors at night
That implores the moments of pure joy
Oh for there is no room that disregards its content
That is content with idleness and despair
As compared to the heart, there is none like the other
For which some have been filled with vanity
And some with treasures none can ever purchase
Some so full and cluttered that there is no room left for breath
There is no room that craves apathetic motions
That is not hebephrenic to its thoughts
That is under the umbrella of chaos
If there is no room for meaning and purpose and peace
Then there is no room
