A Poem on Time

Time stopped today,

Or else he paused,

if only for a moment,

To glance our way

as I curled beside you

to nestle my head against your chest

He hesitated in his ever persistent endeavor

to reach the end

because he finally found something

worth waiting for.

And that’s what you are,

Worth living for

And dying for,

Worth fighting for,

every second of every day.

And today,

I think time finally helped you realize

that other people see it to.
