THE POET

This is the story, the life of a poet A story, a mystery just waiting to unfold All the colours of love coming through Awaiting to burst at the seams of a heart Forever longing for something more The only hope that she's ever known. An ever changing life and A heart that is full of gold, hidden treasures Hoping for the day when everybody will see The life of a poet, this is her story This is her life yeah, this is her life song She keeps singing it loud for all to hear This is the story of a girl Who's looking for more than just existing. This girl longs to be loved Someone special to hold her hand And never let her go This poet, this poet she is me. I'm the poet spoken of here in this story I'm the poet with big dreams A blank canvas, ready for all the colours Someday I'll be heard and no longer ignored Or pushed to the back of the crowd No longer a stranger. This poet, this poet she is me This poet she is me.
