A Poet

I wish I was that man.

With words that could help you understand

My feelings overwhelm me in passion.

Yet the second I try to speak, my words turn to dust.

If I can't speak, ill write.

If i can't face you, ill type.

For the words must come out.

The truth is I love you alright.

I love the way your eyes glisten in the night.

I love the way your hair blows ever so light

I love your smile that brings joy to my eyes.

I love your mind, that I connect with all the time.

But why cant I tell you how I feel.

Cause everytime I see you, my heart flutters, and feels.

I get dreams and illusions of what could possibly be.

But your beauty overwhelms me, and I hold up and freeze .

Sweet woman I dote for, you don't know how I feel.

I would love you, and cherish you, all that I can.

For you are lovely, subline, and one of a kind.

Just know that I love you. would you be mine?
