The Poet Lover

The moon shines brightly tonight, the crickets sing as the raindrops fall on the thirsty leaves The patter of the rain has its own music The owls hoot from somewhere far away The poet lover walks among the trees, eager to find her love She brushes the raindrops that settle on her face She's beautiful, elegant and proud At times she's lonely and tired of searching, knowing she might never find love Yet she knows what it is to love and lose...

Lovely imagery of the ideal garden:) I have always linked the poet and the lover as one as well (I could never see a poet as detached from love). Keep on writing and sharing your works. Q.V.
