Poetic Antidepressant

I've always been selfish With sad little me Never shared her Never let anyone see How lonely she felt, sad little me With no one to talk to No one to listen Sad little me I kept her hidden for lack of understanding Of how advanced medicine was Sad little me took some poetic antidepressants And she wrote and she wrote Miles worth of feelings Tears turned into words That no one was reading But she wasn't alone Poetic light Gave her hope She no longer let the sadness eat her away Sad little me Thanks to poetic antidepressants Became simply ME.
