Poetic Expression

Writing is the passage between conscious and soul,

Purposeful, meaningful, triumphant, and bold-

What you have when you fully express yourself,

Never second-guessing, never once pausing,

Every word, every sentence, every paragraph counts.

Paper is unsullied at first,

Full of promise and everlasting hope,

Pen is elegant and sophisticated,

So permanent and perpetual,

Pen compliments paper so deliciously,

Both combine with the power of one’s mind,

To create something beautiful,

Something unique.

As one enters the complex world of writing,

He may tremble with uncertainty,

Eyes glittering bright, hand unsteady

Progress is gradual as words start to form,

And paper’s potential is released,

It is now the canvas of one’s thoughts and imagination,

As the individual grows in spirit and mind,

His writing becomes more efficacious,

That which once occurred in uncomfortable scrawls,

Now occurs in an effortless moment,

Waltzing gracefully across paper,

Never missing a curve or a loop or a dot,

As one’s thoughts are transformed from something intangible,

To myriads of precise, emphatic expression,
