Poetic Relief
My heart is filled with pain... My mind is filled with rage
Conflicted as I continue to write my angst on this page
My job is shit...I wish I could quit
A slave for this lame pay, but I keep my anger at bay
Can't lose this shit job, I need to get paid
Doing what I have to just to survive each day
Life is hard, but I take it day by day
3 weeks sober, I'm well on my way
Finding gratitude in the little things
Finding inspiration from the Buddah kings
Life will get better, I feel those angel wings
Building a powerful bond with my daughter as I push her on the swings
Positive vibes in just about everything
Fighting these demons and all the shit it brings
Like a wasp if provoked, I will fucking sting
Time to live up to my own expectations
And start seeing life as a beautiful thing
Anything is possible. At least this is what I tell my little offspring
