Poetic Viaduct

I drive on the highway with nowhere to go,
but it sure does make me feel less alone.
Your voice is a façade of compassion.
And on this journey, my voice is a heartbeat...
reticent and observant make up my personality.
These qualities led me to poetry.

When I encountered this treasure,
my lonely drives on the highway began to dwindle.
I form into a human sphere.
My body is underneath a quilt.
I analyze my thoughts similarly to algebraic equations:
Phoneme=X, Morpheme=Y, Syntax=Z.
When I ruminate on your hackneyed words and provincial world view,
I realize you’re human too.
