Poetry at 1 a.m.

Here I am writing poetry in the dark

Here I am asking myself the questions of why

why did I fall in love

why did I give you so much

why am I breaking inside

why are you moving on

why am I sitting here with my hands typing faster than my thoughts

why am I wishing you will come knock on my door

why am I wishing I will never see you again

why am I upset we kissed to every love song I ever loved

why am I upset we created so much together but it all ruined everything once

you left.

why can't I scream faster than my tears

and grasp everything under my heart and believe and try

why can't you say you love me

why couldn't I be enough?
