Poetry

A poem can flow, Can twist and turn, Like a river Whether fast or slow. It winds a path Down paper thin Like a trail Down a mountain slope. It helps us vent our feelings Whether angry, excited, or sad. Regardless of the state we're in, Or how we feel when we start, We seem to feel better in the end When we reveal what's in our hearts. That is why I write poetry. That is why I'm here today. To tell my friends and Family That poetry is my heart and soul. You can either accept it Or simply walk away.
