Poetry

This unit began and I wasn't thrilled

With poetry it would be filled

My first thought was "Oh, cue the boredom"

Yet, now I write poems for an online forum

Poetry is a painting of words

It's the whistled song being sung by the birds

It's the beauty of flowers springing from the ground

It's the songs of angels as they resound

It took me a while to truly appreciate

The way that poetry can alleviate

Value it now, before it's too late

Those with intelligence will not wait
