For Poetry

Thank you for your constant comfort. I really am eternally grateful. Spent long nights not knowing what to do The nights only seemed to get longer until I met you I began writing a little something here & there Sometimes it ended in a rhyme or was sometimes about despair. I never realized the effect it had on me I never realized how much I would love blank paper and a pencil I never realized I needed to write. I never realized. I think I found the love of my life in stanzas and haikus The love of my life in rhythm and flow and how magical words are My Dear Poetry this is for you My payback for all you have given me And I owe you so much more Like a stage for a dancer and a mic for a singer With a pencil and paper alone with you I've found my euphoria. Poetry is using words at their most raw. What's more beautiful than that?
