poetry

poetry is the pretentious way

in which i finally get to say

the things i keep to myself

the secrets hidden on my shelf

behind rhymes i try to hide

keep everything bottle up inside

the way i love, the way i fall

the way i try to forget it all

and I, simply put,

love it to a fault
