Poetry

A person can speak thousands of words a day,

But many of these are useless and just get in the way.

If one truly speaks from the heart,

Many will stop, listen, and choose not to part.

Can poetry get quite personal?

Well, for me, it is quite usual.

It is that hidden talent that only comes out once in a while,

And it's main purpose is to make people smile.

It is supposed to prick those in the heart,

Who are blinded and can not see the true art.

Poetry can affect ones life in a huge way;

It can be that safe place, a harbor, a place where she no longer feels like prey.

Poetry can be that one friend that complements you the most,

It supports you and does not care to boast.

It is that sweet gift that can touch the hearts of many,

And if it is in the right hands, it will not even cost you a penny.
