POETRY

The thing about poetry is that it calms your thoughts 

relating one thing to another without so much as a pause 

because our brains work in mysterious ways 

poetry tells us we don't have to be afraid 

to say a railing,is a dead thing. is no longer a lie 

a butterfly is deadly, in some peoples eyes

so we raise our voices, as is our right 

follow your own path, and take to the skies
