Poetry

If you took poetry away from me, it would be like taking the blue out of the sky.

If you took poetry away from me, it would be like breathing through a coffee sraw.

If you took poetry away from me,it would be like taking paint off of a canvas

If you took poetry away from me, I would die

For you see I am the blue in the sky,

I am the coffee you drink every morning to make you happy,

I am the paint on the canvas ,

and if you wash the canvas what is left?

If you take the blue out of the sky your life would be grey,

If you had to breath through a coffee straw you would die,

And without my readers there is no me.
