Poetry is...

People make poetry beautiful They make it an object, something tangible The poets are those who use words that have no meaning to influence someone else. Poets paint pictures with their words; their pens flourish and embellish rolling valleys and the smell of a spring morning after rain. We use our pens to set free words that struggle to be spoken aloud. We abuse the rights of freedom of speech for we speak our minds about the world and refuse to hide our passions. We as poets and public speakers have freed and saved our world. No more do we hide behind our outspoken words No more must we write of petty interests We write from the depths of our soul and have our imaginations run free to create the world we deserve to live in. For words are our strongest weapons.
