Poetry

What is the sun to a seedling?

Seeking and yearning for it's first rays of light

Rising up  to face it's meaning in the circle of life

What is an educator to a pupil?

More than just a degrees or certificates

Encouraging the young to be  more than magnificent

What about a page to a book?

Well, what would it be?

A river of free-floating words flowing free, flowing free.

What is a mother to her child,

Or a father to his son?

They are love, they are happinesss- a family in one.

I am faced with the question

"What is poetry to you?"

It is life, it is expression, it is freedom through and through.
