Poetry and I

Dear poetry, Im back again Pen in hand Afraid to stand How are you this week? Treat me with your fascinations Distract me from there laughs Listen as i tell you all the secrets from my past Silence was my default setting Until i met you of course Together we break barriers Together we attack with force. I tell of friends, of foes alike And with every word your interest spikes My voice, my soul, my passions be How saved ive been Since ive found thee Our art it shines unlike the rest Always thriving, striving to impress And even if we arent the best We tell our truths to get them off our chests You've made me better, happy even So with pen in hand Im never leavin'
